ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Edona,
I’m a designer from Austria with a focus on graphic design and a growing passion for videography.

WHAT I DO:

Graphic Design | Typography | Editorial Design | Video | Photography | Web Design | Animation

WHAT I THINK ABOUT IT:

If you asked me what design means to me, I’d say it’s about staying curious, continually asking why, and finding ways to get closer to the answer — knowing there’s no single right one, yet not losing your mind along the way.

I love learning and approaching projects as opportunities to dive into new topics and dissect them from different angles. That’s also a big reason why I enjoy working with people who are curious, open minded, and love creating.

One thing that has stayed with me throughout my journey so far is an attention to detail and a drive for clarity . I’ve always been drawn to the little things and to making the world more understandable and intuitive.

I believe that a key component of being a good designer is being an interested individual — someone who explores the world from psychological, sociological, and critical perspectives. I feel very fortunate to be able to bring this mindset into my work, to keep exploring, learning, and most importantly to have fun doing it.

EDUCATION

GRAPHIC AND INTERACTION DESIGN
Groningen NL | Minerva Art academy | Feb - Jun 2024
During my Erasmus semester, I studied at Minerva Academy in Groningen, where I had the opportunity to dive deeply into different printing techniques and analogue design. I really appreciated working in a more artistic and organic environment and adapting to a new setting, which contributed greatly to my creative and personal development.

INFORMATION DESIGNGraz AUT | FH Joanneum | 2023 - ongoing
My creative journey truly began at FH Joanneum, and I’m very grateful to have attended this institution. The curriculum allowed me to explore different disciplines, experiment freely, and feel supported throughout. I had the opportunity to collaborate with many talented peers, explore and research various topics, and build the foundations of my understanding of — and approach to — design.

PSYCHOLOGYGraz AUT | Karl Franzens Universität | 2022 - 2023
An undeniable interest in understanding people, human behavior, and psychological processes is what led me to study psychology. I have carried many of the insights I gained from it into my design practice, which has often helped me approach problems from different perspectives and consider aspects I might otherwise have overlooked.

ECONOMICSGraz AUT | Karl Franzens Universität | 2021 - 2022
My first attempt to better understand the world was starting a bachelor’s degree in economics. My main interest was examining economic systems at a societal level, and it taught me to think more critically about how economic and political decisions are made. This foundation has greatly influenced my perspective and continues to inform the way I approach complex problems in my design work.

HIGH SCHOOLGraz AUT | BG/BRG Pestalozzi | 2012-2020
My high school offered a broad spectrum of subjects, which suited my diverse interests, especially in science, history/economics and languages. I believe I received a well-rounded educational foundation, much of which I have been able to apply in my later studies.
